KEARNEY —The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles is temporarily closing seven locations for Driver License Services.

The Nebraska DMV states that this is, “due to training and allocation of existing staff,” at these offices.

The county sites include:

  • Phelps – Holdrege
  • Furnas – Beaver City
  • Franklin – Franklin
  • Webster – Red Cloud,
  • Kearney – Minden
  • Gosper – Elwood
  • Dawson – Lexington

The sites in Broken Bow and McCook had been included in the original list, but the DMV said this was in error.

“Any Nebraska Driver License Services location can process requests and most business may be completed at http://DMV.Nebraska.Gov. Thank you for your patience as we hire, train, and strengthen your Nebraska DMV,” the DMV states.
