Will California ban tasting the rainbow? Legislators in the Golden State may soon pull dozens of foods from shelves, including Pez, Sour Patch Kids, and Skittles. The problem? They contain additives that are linked to cancer and organ damage and can be harmful to DNA long-term. If you’re one of those people who reads ingredient labels to the very end, the issues are with red dye 3, brominated vegetable oil, potassium bromate and titanium dioxide. The last three are already banned all across Europe.
