Were signs posted in the 1930s? How ’bout the 40s & 50s? During the summer of love, were people washing their hands? When bellbottom jeans and the Brady Bunch were hip, were people constantly being reminded to wash their hands? I’m just curious. I don’t remember being taught to wash, when to wash and how to wash my hands. I’m sure when I was a tiny human a teaching session took place but now the constant reminder is almost insulting to our collective intelligence.

If you don’t know when to wash your hands, you shouldn’t be employed at a restaurant. End of story. If you don’t know HOW to wash your hands you probably can’t read the sign so, enough already.

Back to my original question: Were signs posted in the 1930s? How ’bout the 40s & 50s? During the summer of love, were people washing their hands?
