In 1977, five concerned citizens of Grand Island came together to determine how to help someone who does not have a safe home. This meeting and years of hard work created the Crisis Center, Inc. At the Crisis Center, Inc., offers a variety of services to help educate, advocate, and eliminate domestic violence in Hall, Hamilton, Merrick, and Howard counties in Nebraska.
They provide support, guidance, and education to men, women and children to live a life free from domestic and sexual violence. Some of their services include Advocacy, Safe Shelters, Emergency Transportation, Medical Assistance, Legal Assistance, Food and Clothing, Court Support, Support Groups, plus so much more!
The Crisis Center has changed and evolved from its beginning and it is time to honor that change with a new name, mission and complete rebrand! They are unveiling a new name and mission at the annual fundraiser. This is the 3rd Annual Mardi Gras celebration for the Crisis Center.
