Loverboy are back with their first new music in eight years.

“Release” was written originally by guitarist Paul Dean for a metal band that he was going to produce, but the group decided not to use the track, so Dean brought it to Loverboy.

The song’s video is up on YouTube now. “Release” is the first new music from the Canadian outfit since 2014’s Unfinished Business.

Loverboy will hit the road for some scattered headlining shows this spring before teaming up with REO Speedwagon and Styx on their summer tour, which starts May 31st in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
