I met this amazing man at some county fair many years ago. I was at a different radio station back then and had the honor of bringing him out on stage. He was still new to the country music airwaves, but he was headlining. Let me just say, “What a great man! So kind. So gifted. And he was a proud American.” Oh, and when bringing Toby out on the stage he put his left arm out for me to hold as we went out and faced the audience. I might add, he had huge biceps. Like a ham! Rest In Peace, Toby. Your music will live forever. Say Hi to my Daddy if you see him. He loved your music very much.
