KEARNEY – The UNK Volleyball team moved up one spot in the latest AVCA Coaches poll on Monday.

The Lopers (20-1, 10-1) moved up from their No. 9 spot – a familiar place as UNK was at No. 9 for three consecutive weeks – and slid to the No. 8 ranking with 834 total points.

Wayne State (19-1) remained at the top overall spot – a ranking the Wildcats have held since September.

Other MIAA schools in the Top 25 include: No. 19 Central Oklahoma (18-3) and No. 21 Washburn (13-4). UNK hosts Washburn Tuesday night at the Health and Sports Center.

Central Missouri and Northwest Missouri State both received votes as well.

The Lopers are currently alone at the top of the MIAA Volleyball standings.
