I was asked to post albums that influenced me early in my life. Here is # 7:
Judas Priest, Sin After Sin.
It was before their leather persona and my first introduction to seeing liner notes that say Simon Phillips is on drums. He went on to play on literally NUMEROUS hit songs (Let my Love Open the Door, Pete Townshend, just to name one).
Big fan of both the drummer and the band…it was and is great rock and roll before ‘metal’ was a thing and side bar: their decision to cover a song by folk artist Joan Baez is amazingly unique to me.
