My Dad went to be with Jesus on July 25th, 2023. He fought hard, but in the end, it was just too much. Surrounded by family and friends he took his final breath. I was gently rubbing his sweet bald head and telling him it was ok to go meet Jesus and not to worry about Mom, my brother and I would take good care of her. The room was filled with love, and I believe loved ones from Heaven helped him make the journey to the promise land.
I won’t mince words here; this was so hard. Dad was our hero, and my mom was his everything. My parents just celebrated their 57th anniversary, July 23rd. I am grateful he held out that long for her. To be honest, we are relieved he is not suffering anymore. Now, we will celebrate his amazing life. The stories will be told, and boy could he spin the stories and jokes. My Dad was loved by so many people.
