FLOUR RECALL: Gold Medal Flour Linked to Salmonella

General Mills has ordered a massive recall of its Gold Medal flour after the Food and Drug Administration linked the product to a Salmonella outbreak across the country that has sickened at least 13 people in 11 states.
The recall covers two, five, and 10-pound bags of Gold Medal Unbleached and Bleached All Purpose Flour with a “better if used by” date of March 27, 2024, and March 28, 2024. The FDA is urging consumers to check their pantries, and throw out any flour that is part of this recall. Consumers should also refrain from eating any raw products made with flour and make sure to properly clean any utensils or surfaces that come in contact with flour. (Food and Wine)
