Mammoth Mart and King’s Department Stores in the early 1980s had a handful of big arcade games in the front near the checkout lanes and I made somebody rich with all the quarters I spent. My addiction to PacMan was immediate and I got pretty good at it. I played PacMan downtown Grand Island at an arcade somewhat recently and I must admit that I was still pretty good just like the old days except for the carpel tunnel feeling I got in my hand from intense joystick maneuverings. I don’t ever remember feeling that before.
Interesting side note about the article that spawned this blog: It says practically NOTHING about the movie itself.
