How do you fill a void, an empty space, a huge hole in your world that someone created when they left due to a breakup, death  or otherwise? Well, the quick answer is, “You don’t!” To expound on the quick answer: You can’t simply fill the void with just anyone. People are not interchangeable. You can not fill the hole with just anything you can find. It doesn’t work that way.  So, what do you do when you realize that despite your survival, there’s a gaping hole in your world?

You don’t do anything. To clarify, you don’t do anything to rectify the hole. The empty hole is slowly filling itself in all on its own. Don’t force things into your life in an effort to plug that space, it will only make it bigger. I’m simply relaying what I believe. I find that living life to its fullest and moving forward is the only thing that will eventually fill that empty space.  Move on everyday and wait. Periodically you’ll wake up and realize that the hole is a bit smaller than it used to be….and one day it will be totally gone.

Live life to its fullest and don’t forget to smile and be thankful and aware of all the good that surrounds you. It might sound obvious but remind yourself to check your perception. How are you perceiving your life: is it an honest assessement or one that overlooks much of what you have been blessed with.

Hang in there. Things get better. Trust me.

Coming up soon: a much less serious blog. Perhaps one about the Three Stooges. Why? because slap stick helps you cope.
